As a leading provider for polymer compound solutions, Benvic has expanded its cable compound range with the LinkFlex HF series. These materials answer the need for halogen free, flame retarded (HFFR) and low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) cable products. Based on a polyolefin matrix, the Linkflex HF series complies with IEC60754-2 standard for low acidity emissions. Behaviour during fire exposure has been optimized to allow cables to meet EN 50575 standard classes from ECA up to B2CA, with features such as low droplet generation. Mechanical and chemical resistance and climatic characteristics have also been optimized to allow a high level of flexibility and easiness of use for final users.
Particular care has been taken to optimize polymer processing, ensuring that the total cost for cable manufacturers is cost effective and under control. The latest compounding processing techniques have been deployed in order to provide product stability and quality at optimum levels.
In addition, Benvic has created a dedicated enginnering team for cable compound designers – enabling customers to extend and adapt the properties of the Linkflex HF range for specific needs. The Linkflex HF series complements Benvic's expertise in PVC compounds and reaffirms the company's expertise in supplying materials to the building, construction, electrical and cable industries. Benvic’s Linkflex HF range commits the company to being a long term partner for the cable sector.
Linkflex applications :
Benvic’s ProVinyl range is the company’s premier product group - the result of over fifty years work in vinyl-dedicated laboratories and pilot production lines. Benvic ProVinyl polymers are designed to match the capabilities of engineering polymers in terms of performance load, structure and specification.
With more than 40% of market share in the cable industry, PVC is one of the best materials to manage key functions like insulation. PVC is well adapted to meet the diverse properties required for various cables because it is easily modified with additives such as plasticizers, fillers, or lubricants. Durability, processing ease and fire resistance also number amongst PVC’s key properties.
Provinyl contribute to your performance :
In order to cover as many applications as possible, our new KCC range of materials is designed to manage electrical conductivity and to protect against electrostatic discharge (ESD).
Benvic KCC range covers :
ESD protection is widely used in different settings in order to secure the safety of goods and installations.
Various ESD factors need to be considered:
Conductive PVC compounds have key material properties that help secure ESD protection:
Benvic has established various processes that successfully manage the dispersion of the conductive filler within the KCC polymer compound. The new KCC materials are able to meet various technical challenges, offering stable conductivity under different stresses such as mechanical, thermal or climatic ones. .
Other usages for KCC included the management of conductive surfaces that generate or integrate electronic functions. KCC is a key compound for mission critical applications that need proper protection.
