For the past four years, the Benvic Group has entrusted EcoVadis, one of the foremost providers of sustainability ratings, to assess our performance and our progress around four themes: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.
We are proud to report that Benvic earned a Gold Medal for the third year in a row – this time reaching the 98th percentile in our industry. We showed improvement on all metrics and we will not rest until we attain Platinum level.

EcoVadis’s recognition of our proactive and responsible business model honours the efforts of all our staff. Through their ideas, their work and their passion, they are responsible for our continuous progress as a conscientious company. People are key to a better world, and Benvic intends to stay a nurturing place for all. The implementation of clear guidelines for our values (Whistleblowing procedure, Diversity policy, and Code of Conduct for Suppliers, amongst others) is one of the reasons for our great EcoVadis rating.
Another reason is our ability to work and innovate with our stakeholders. Sustainable design is a core piece of Benvic’s identity. Our engineers work on incorporating ever more recyclate into our products, while maintaining the best output quality. Our teams invent new ways to collaborate with clients, so that we can collect more of their recyclate, and they in turn can conceive great recycled products. Our bio-based Plantura range also expands every year with new offers. Technology is an integral component of a successful fight for the Environment. We are glad to do our part in this regard.
Looking to the future, we are building solid foundations for sustainable procurement. After carrying an environmental assessment of our suppliers, we are now integrating ESG criteria in our selection process, ensuring that we work with partners in line with our vision. This should help us further reduce our scope 3 GHG emissions, with the avowed ambition of becoming carbon neutral on all three scopes.
From this solid base, we are confident that we will continue to bring value to an ever more complex world, and that our efforts will continue to be recognized. This leaves us energized for the challenges ahead, vowing to always do better.
